Nala is an administrative ward in the Dodoma Urban district of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report there were 6,050 people in the ward, from 5,567 in 2012.
Nala is an administrative ward located in the Dodoma Municipal Council of Tanzania. Situated approximately 21 kilometers northwest of the city center along the Dodoma–Singida highway, Nala has quickly transformed from a rural settlement into Tanzania's emerging industrial and investment powerhouse.

THE NALA SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE (SEZ):
The area's primary economic engine is the Nala Special Economic Zone, a massive 607-hectare zone managed by the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA). The SEZ is driving rapid industrial growth due to its highly strategic benefits:
1.Logistics & Transport: Located directly on the national highway, under 10 km from the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), and close to the upcoming Msalato International Airport.
2.Key Targets: Designed as a regional hub for manufacturing, engine assembly, pharmaceuticals, agriculture value-addition, and green technologies.
3.Workforce Access: Proximity to major educational hubs like the University of Dodoma (UDOM) and VETA for skilled labor.

REAL ESTATE & INFRASTRUCTURE GROWTH:Driven by its economic expansion, Nala is experiencing a significant real estate boom.
1.Land Value: Residential and commercial plots are highly sought-after, with prices typically ranging from TSh 1.5 million to 15 million depending on proximity to the tarmac road.
